SOMATIC MOVEMENT
Fridays · 7.30pm – 9.30pm · Old School Rooms, Hackney.
Hosted by Temenos founder, Felix Oram, our somatic movement sessions invite dancers to slow down and deepen their relationship with their body.
Each session begins on the floor, with eyes closed and attention turned inward. Through guided awareness, participants are supported to sense, listen, and attune to the subtle language of the body before movement begins.
From this place of stillness and presence, movement gradually unfolds — simple at first, then increasingly dynamic. Gentle facilitation and clear invitations support dancers to remain connected to sensation and awareness as energy and movement builds.
As the music evolves, the space opens into more animated exploration and connection with others, while maintaining the grounding of somatic attention.
This class is an invitation to move from the inside out — cultivating depth, sensitivity, and embodied intelligence.
