Rick Nodine 'Somatic Dance' @ Movement Playground

The one and only Rick Nodine is dropping in to the Movement Playground on Friday 3rd May to facilitate a bespoke 'Somatic Dance' experience. 

Starting from a deeply introspective somatic warm-up and finishing with 'Collective Joy', this class will gradually transition from our interior sensation-scape to how we inhabit our kinisphere (the space immediately around us) and then to how we co-exist in the shared space with the whole group. 

The warm-up will put us in touch with the natural intelligence and innate coordination of our unsocialized body. Then we will play games that open up options for how we can be in a social space with freedom of movement and awareness of relationship.

I couldn't think of a better way to spend Friday evening than with the amazing Rick Nodine leading me through a somatic dance experience. Temenos founder and resident FX10K will be offering musical support in the form of a quirky punk funk electronica dub disco DJ set (the like of which will have to be heard to be believed) to ensure we have the perfect soundtrack for the Jam. It's going to be off the hook!!! 

Also, as it's the first Friday of the month we will be hosting our Community Social after the dance meaning there will be pizza available to those that want (but you have to buy your food ticket by midday on Friday 3rd May), plus a chance to hang out after the session with your fellow dancers.
