After the success of our first Movement Trilogy workshop back in October the Temenos Dance Collective is delighted to announce that we will be celebrating the Winter Solstice in 2024 with another powerful conscious movement immersion on Saturday 21st December.
The Winter Solstice is an extremely important and powerful time of year as it represents the passing of the shortest day in the Earth's solar cycle and the beginning of the journey towards longer days and closer connection to the life giving force of our solar system, the Sun. Long revered by the ancients, the Winter Solstice has been one of the most auspicious dates for human civilisations and indigenous communities since the dawn of time. To celebrate, Temenos is hosting one of its very special Movement Trilogy immersions, incorporating the three core modalities that are central to conscious movement - Contact Improvisation, 5Rhythms, and Ecstatic Dance.
