Movement Playground presents 'In Da House' with FX10K & Rodrigo Maciel

Movement Playground sessions are hosted on the first Friday of each month by Temenos founder FX10K.   The vision is simple - to curate a space that encourages dancers to explore movement in a creative and playful way. 

Join us for a concious dance journey into the world of house music. Together we'll be exploring deep house, acid house, classic house and more. Everything good and amazing about house music will be on show. 

All weaved together by expertly by Temenos founder and resident DJ FX10K with support from the legendary bass guitaris Rodrigo Maciel.

It has long been understood that play is a critical element in development and at Temenos we feel that we do our most productive learning when our movement practice is informed by a freedom to experiment and express ourselves in a creative and fun way. As such we welcome all modes of dance in the Movement Playground space, whether informed by Contact Improvisation, Breaking, partner dancing or anything else.   The music policy is broad and can explore everything from classical to hip hop. Nothing is off the table, rather it is about creating a musical score that encourages and celebrates what it means to be a human being with a capacity for (and interest in) movement and dance. Some sessions will have a musical theme, so for example once a season we host a Drum & Bass special. 

This session will include a post-dance community social with optional pizza, providing dancers with a chance to connect and meet fellow dancers within the community rather than heading straight home after the dance.
